Who should play One Direction in Zayn’s new boyband TV show?

It has been confirmed by ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ that former 1D member, Zayn will be joining forces with the high profiled TV producer on a TV drama, titled ‘Boys’.

The show will be focusing on the creation of a highly successful boyband and will encapsulate the excitements and highs of life in a boyband as well as focusing on the pressure that comes along with success.

It seems as though a new project may very well be something Zayn needs to focus on right now, rather than performing himself, as he has been unfortunately fighting several cases of anxiety which have caused him to cancel some performances, with a show in Dubai early next month being cancelled due to his condition. We’re absolutely gutted for him, but hope he gets better soon, and maybe a slight career adjustment is something Z needs.

Now, as much as we’d like Mr Malik to invite former bandmates, One Direction, to star in the show, we do highly doubt that this will happen. However, since there’s no talk of casting as of yet, we decided to help Z out and list him some potential candidates of actors who would make the perfect TV boyband.

It has already been proven that Efron can sing, thanks to ‘High School Musical’ and ‘Hairspray’, so it would be totally wise for him to take on a role as a boyband member. Plus he’s poster perfect, right?

Daniel Radcliffe

Assuming this is going to be a boy band based in America, we think that it’s crucial to reference back to Niall and have someone of a different nationality in the group’s lineup. Daniel is absolutely gorgeous and one of our all-time favourite British actors. Plus, for banter, wouldn’t it be hilarious if the other bandmates made jokes about how he looked like Harry Potter?

Michael B Jordan

We’re totally crushing on Michael B Jordan and think he really has the look for this role. We’ve seen him in a lot of grown-up roles, but it’d be nice for him to take a change in be in something for a younger audience.

Dylan O’Brien

If you aren’t in love with Dylan O’Brien, you are lying. Swapping the supernatural lifestyle from ‘Teen Wolf’, it’d be so refreshing to see Mr O as teen hunky heartthrob who succeeds in the music industry with his fellow bandmates. Plus, we just want him on our TV a whole lot more.

Liam Hemsworth

We don’t know about you, but Liam could play a character inspired by… uh… Liam. Payne, that is. He has a slightly more mature look and the facial hair really does remind us of Payno, plus we always need the “dad” role in a boyband. Liam Payne, Gary Barlow, it just makes sense.

We’re super excited to see the actual lineup and can’t help but wonder if any of these hunks will be lucky to land a part in the sure to be successful show.
