Bleachers’ frontman, Jack Antonoff, is the mastermind of many hit songs in the music world—some we had no idea he played a huge part in. With his innovativeness and creativity, the musician has become the industry’s go-to guy when it comes to creating the perfect pop song. Popstars like Taylor Swift, Lorde, Sia and most recently P!NK are some of the people Jack has shared his genius with.
Here are some popular tracks from big-name stars that we didn’t know Jack lent a helping hand in.
1. ‘Dope’ by Fifth Harmony
Lending his producing and writing chops, Jack gave us this cool summer jam for Fifth Harmony off their second album ‘7/27.’ He even recorded all the instruments for the track as well.
2. ‘Heaven’ by Troye Sivan feat. Betty Who
This moving collaboration between Troye Sivan and Betty Who, Jack also had a massive hand. Off Troye’s debut album ‘Blue Neighborhood,’ the song reminisces on when the singer dealt with the many questions he asked himself when he first started to realize he was gay.
3. ‘Brave’ by Sara Bareilles
You’ve been living under a rock if you haven’t heard Sara Bareilles hit ‘Brave’, but you may have had no idea Jack helped write it. ‘Brave’ was nominated for a Grammy, making it one of Jack’s more popular creations.
4. ‘Los Ageless’ by St. Vincent
St. Vincent’s new album ‘MASSEDUCTION‘ is set to be released October 13th and it’s had a great amount of input from Jack. Along with ‘Los Ageless,’ the singer/songwriter/producer helped with St. Vincent’s entire album, making it another huge accomplishment for Jack’s already ever-growing list.
5. ‘Beautiful Trauma’ by P!NK
Just like St. Vincent, P!NK’s seventh album will be released October 13th as well. Jack collaborated with P!NK on the title track ‘Beautiful Trauma,’ which is a cheerful dance-pop song. Bleachers are even opening for P!NK for some shows on her upcoming tour in March and April.
6. ‘Perfect Places’ by Lorde
Lorde and Jack’s friendship has resulted in a huge amount of noteworthy tunes. Her newest album ‘Melodrama’ was co-produced by Jack, giving the album even more credibility. ‘Perfect Places’ is just one of many tracks from the LP that offered up an honest sound.
7. ‘Stand By You’ by Rachel Platten
We’ve all sang along to Rachel Platten’s ‘Fight Song’—a song that skyrocketed her popularity. ‘Stand By You’ is another catchy hit that Jack penned for the songstress.
8. ‘House On Fire’ by Sia
Sia is a certified megastar, making Jack’s association with her on her album ‘This Is Acting’ a most desirable one. ‘House On Fire’ is another accolade on Jack’s giant list of outstanding writing credentials that just continues to grow by the second.
9. ‘Sweetie’ by Carly Rae Jepsen
Carly Rae Jepsen is actually one of the first artists Jack has ever produced for. Co-writing this track from the singer’s debut album gave him the momentum he needed to gain a hefty career in creating songs for other musicians. He’s also collaborating with Carly again for her upcoming third album that has yet to be announced.
10. ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’ by Zayn and Taylor Swift
Last but not least, we can’t forget to mention one of Jack’s most famous collaborations. Zayn and Taylor Swift are no strangers to the charts, adding this duet to their list of chart-toppers. Jack put his writing prowess to work once again alongside Taylor with this iconic track that dominated the radio.
