With Christmas Day just over a week away, I’m sure you’ve been blasting out the usual generic Christmas songs. I’ve pretty much had Justin Bieber‘s ‘Under The Mistletoe’ album on repeat. I’m a bit of a Grinch when it comes to Christmas songs, I will be honest. I just hate hearing the same boring ones over and over!
Over the years, Christmas songs have been covered by numerous artists. Let’s be honest – some are better than others right? It’s been a while since we’ve had a really good one to get our festive eardrums excited about. So imagine my excitement when I saw this video uploaded by Nathan Sykes himself.
Performed in front of London’s 02 Arena and the iconic Coca-Cola truck earlier this month, Nathan has surprised us with this absolute gem. Released today (December 16th) via Global Entertainment, the track has been confirmed as the official Coca-Cola Christmas campaign. Pretty awesome right? Thinking about all the Christmas songs he could have covered I really can’t think of a better one. His voice is pure gold and really has done the 1944 classic Christmas carol justice.
It seems as though Nathan really has got his fans in the Christmas spirit. Having recently announced that he would be posting different versions of the tracks from his upcoming album ‘Unfinished Business‘ on the run up to Christmas, he has also announced that we’ll get to see his beautiful face on Christmas Eve on BBC’s Top Of The Pops Christmas special.
