Christmas is almost upon us. You all know what that means? We all need to update our playlists with all our favourite Xmas tunes. Because who doesn’t need a good festive jam in the car? If you aren’t sure which songs to download/buy, I’ve got you covered. This list is bound to get you all rocking round the Christmas tree. Okay, that was such a bad pun [insert audience laugh track here].
These also happen to be some of my all-time favourite Christmas songs. Enjoy.
1. ‘ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU’ – MARIAH CAREY & JUSTIN BIEBER
A little spin on a classic. I found this ages ago and have been obsessed ever since. I mean, Mariah Carey is queen, however, we could all use some Justin.
2. ‘LOVE ME LIKE YOU’ (CHRISTMAS MIX) – LITTLE MIX
These girls are already slaying me with their fourth album. However, I had to of course, add their cute Christmas mix of one of my favourite songs off their last album.
3. ‘MY ONLY WISH (THIS YEAR)’ – BRITNEY SPEARS
It’s Britney, bitch. If this song isn’t on your playlist, literally what are you doing with your life?
4. ‘JOY TO THE WORLD’ – PENTATONIX
I absolutely adore Pentatonix. These guys vocals are crazy and this song is on instant repeat. Can’t get enough.
5. ‘SANTA TELL ME’ – ARIANA GRANDE
The Queen of Pop killing it once again. Every time I listen to this song I find myself becoming a little more sassy than usual. Don’t ask me why, I just do. All those hand clicks, it’s so real.
6. ‘PRAY’ – JUSTIN BIEBER
I don’t care what anybody says, I’m in love with this song. So emotional and meaningful. Not many people love Justin’s old stuff, however how can you NOT love this? I cried in the music video to be honest. Sorry, not sorry.
7. ‘8 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS’ – DESTINY’S CHILD
Who else remembers this gem of a song? The tears of joy are real.
8. ‘HAPPY XMAS (WAR IS OVER)’ – CELINE DION
The Queen of my childhood. Celine remains one of my all time idols. And this song was played every single year at Christmas time. The album is still awesome.
9. ‘JINGLE BELL ROCK’ (GLEE COVER)
This is a MUST for your playlist. I found this cover in my folder of Glee songs (back when I downloaded all their covers). I still love to jam to this one in secret. No regrets.
10. ‘IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS’ – MICHAEL BUBLE
Last but certainly not least, Buble had to make an appearance on my list. His Christmas album is a classic. It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas, am I right?
