These artists should definitely have a Las Vegas residency

The other week it was announced that one of my all time favourite bands, the Backstreet Boys have got an 18 date Las Vegas residency in 2017. I am so tempted to go if there are any tickets left. I’ve never been abroad specifically for a concert, but if it’s for these boys I think it would totally be worth it. I just need to raise some funds first.

Vegas is an amazing place. I have been there twice before and had planned to possibly go there in a couple of years to celebrate my *ahem* special birthday. I am hoping that their Vegas residency is extended until then so I can get to see them again. Here’s hoping the trial basis will be made permanent, I can’t see why it won’t be.

The show is named after their 1999 hit ‘Larger Than Life’ and undoubtedly, the show is going to be exactly that. The show debuts at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino where Britney has recently had her Vegas residency. I have only managed to see them in concert twice. Once in London and the other time was in Manchester. Of course, I’m biased because I think they’re amazing, but not many boy bands have still got it.  Let’s face it, how many bands actually stay together for as long as they have?

Vegas has offered residencies to the likes of Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears over the years. It’s a fantastic opportunity for artists to rack in some extra dollars (as if they need any more cash, right?). We all know by now that tours and performing are the best and quickest ways for artists to make the most money. Touring does have its downsides, though. All the travelling around, 4 different cities in the same week, different time zones etc. It must be pretty exhausting. So why wouldn’t an artist want to have a Vegas residency? Same venue every night, no travelling, no jet lag – winning! It got me thinking, who would I really like to see take on a Vegas residency

One Direction

I know they’re on their well-deserved break. Now that Niall has released his solo career, it looks like it’s going to be a while before the boys get back together. I’m thinking ahead to their big come back, whenever that’s going to be. How amazing would it be if they did some massive comeback shows in Vegas? Just a thought.

Adele

In the foreseeable future, this will probably be extremely unlikely. You never know, in a few years time she could have a Vegas residency. Why the hell not? Judging by how quickly her recent tour sold out, I know she’d definitely have no problem selling out Vegas.

Beyoncé

Her Formation tour really was something else, wasn’t it? The productions and props she had were insane. Definitely Vegas-worthy.

Janet Jackson

Maybe after she’s had her baby (which is due any day now) , she might be able to commit to some shows right? I did have tickets to see her in Birmingham which was cancelled. I definitely think she would have an amazing run in Vegas.
