It’s time to pop open the champers, because Halsey’s sophomore album just debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200!

Not only has she reached the top spot, but ‘Hopeless Fountain Kingdom’ is also a top performer of the year, having moved the equivalent of 106,000 units in its first week, which therefore makes it the best debut week for an album by a female artist in 2017 so far. Nice one, Halsey!

Billboard also noted that the last female artist to top the chart was Lady Gaga with ‘Joanne’ back last November, so it’s been a little while. This achievement beats out her debut album ‘Badlands’, which debuted at No. 2 in 2015.

The album has some incredible songs, including ‘Strangers’ featuring Fifth Harmony‘s Lauren Jauregui. The duo performed the song on ‘Good Morning America’ recently, which you can check out below.

It seems 2017 is going to be a busy one for the ‘Ghost’ singer as not only is she supporting Justin Bieber in Cardiff, but she’ll begin touring in the States late September. Exciting times!
