Joey Graceffa is truly a king of all trades. I mean, is there anything this guy can’t do? Already a Youtube mega star with TWO channels to his name, he has also starred in movies, TV shows, has his own jewellery line, has produced songs, and has two book titles to his name. Asides from world domination, there’s little else he can add to his repertoire. Or is there..?
Graceffa’s first foray into literature came in the form of his 2015 memoir, ‘In Real Life: My Journey to a Pixelated World‘, published by Keywords Press. The book delved into the hardships he had faced in his childhood as well as divulging behind-the-scenes secrets of his current YouTube career.
His second novel released a year later, saw Joey Graceffa dive into the realm of YA fiction. ‘Children of Eden‘ is, in his own words, “set in the future, in a dystopian world where I foresee our world going – to self-destruction.”
“Humans have ruined their world, and the world has become a giant wasteland except for this one city called Eden. The story takes place following the main character – Rowan. In the new Eden world, resources are very few. To protect the human population, laws are put in place where families can only have one child. Now, Rowan is born a twin. So her family decides to hide her, so she becomes a prisoner within her own house.
One night, she just can’t take it. She needs to see the outside world and… drama happens.”
‘Children of Eden’ was an immediate success and pivoted Graceffa straight to the top spot for new releases in the Teen and Young Adult releases on Amazon.
