We love Catherine Doyle’s Twin Crowns series (co-written with Katherine Webber), so we were very excited to discover that she actually released a series called Blood for Blood many years ago. Thanks to Simon and Schuster UK, the series is now being released again with a new cover and we can’t wait for everyone to read it as well.

- The swoony male characters: Yes, mafia are bad people we get it but trust us — you will end up loving one of the male leads so much.
- There’s no second book syndrome: Many trilogies suffer from the “second book syndrome”, which is when the second book is a bit of a lackluster. As you can see from Goodreads, the second book Inferno actually has the highest rating at 4.44! This is not to say the conclusion Mafiosa is disappointing at all, because it still has a 4.41 rating.
- Inspired by Romeo and Juliet: While there are so many books inspired by Romeo and Juliet these days, it is done subtly in Blood for Blood and Catherine Doyle really makes the story her own.
