Most of us grew up reading Jacqueline Wilson’s novels and loving her characters such as Tracy Beaker and Hetty Feather. Baby Love is Jacqueline’s first novel aimed at YA readers in nearly 15 years.
Set in the 1960s, Baby Love brings readers back to the time when sex education for young girls was pretty non-existent and many girls got pressured to give up their babies when they fell pregnant outside of wedlock.
The story follows Laura as she gets sent away to a Mother and Baby Home to give her baby up for adoption. There, she meets other girls who have been sent away by their families and they become a family for each other.
