We all know Stephen Chbosky as being the incredible mastermind who wrote and directed ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’, but now he’s telling a new story. He will be directing the new film ‘Wonder’ that will be released in 2017.
‘Wonder’ is based on The New York Times bestseller book that shares the incredibly moving and inspiring story of August Pullman. August was born with facial differences ,and had always been shielded from attending a mainstream school because of it. Despite the odds August finally attends mainstream school and enters his local fifth grade – it won’t be easy but he is determined to defeat people’s expectations. August’s journey will unite his family, classmates and local community, and prove that you can’t blend in when you’re born to stand out. This film is sure to teach viewers about the importance of acceptance and the power that lies within us all in one way or another.
The film stars an incredible cast including Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, Jacob Tremblay, Mandy Patinkin and Daveed Diggs.
‘Wonder’ is the touching and life changing story that will be out in cinemas from 7 April 2017.
