With a New Year comes new creations. Here at United By Pop we’ve decided to create a weekly ‘Watchlist’ to show you, our readers what is happening throughout the world of TV and film. It could be an upcoming movie clip or even the blu-ray/DVD release of a film you may have missed. We’ve got you. So here we go.
Live By Night – New Featurette
‘Live By Night’ is the new dramatic crime thriller from theOscar-winning director Ben Affleck (‘Argo’, ‘The Town’) and see’s him doing some of best work… ever. The film also stars Elle Fanning (‘Maleficent’), Zoe Saldana (‘Guardians of the Galaxy’) and Sienna Miller (‘Foxcatcher’, ‘American Sniper’). It’s a must-see when it opens in UK cinemas January 13th.
Girls: The Complete 5th Season – Blu-Ray/DVD release – 16th January
Before the final season of the much-loved HBO show comes to our screens, why not delve back into Season 5 when it is released to Blu-Ray and DVD on the 16th January? Both Blu-Ray and DVD include a digital download of all 10 episodes, so you can take Lena Dunham and friends on the move wherever you’re going.
The Infiltrator – Bryan Cranston – Digital Release – January 9th
‘The Infiltrator’ stars Bryan Cranston as Robert ‘Bob’ Mazur, a U.S customs special agent who infiltrated one of the most notorious criminal gangs ever, Pablo Escobar. The film is set to be digitally released on January 9th with a following Blu-Ray and DVD release set for January 23rd. It’s a must-watch thriller with Cranston gaining praise for his portrayal.
Man Down – Shia LaBeouf and Gary Oldman – Release Date set for 31st March.
‘Man Down’ is the new post-apocalyptic thriller starring Shia Labeouf and Gary Oldman. The film see’s Shia Labeouf searching for his wife (played by Kata Mara) through post-apocalyptic America. One of the first films released since Shia went a bit… you know, arty? However, it’s nice to see him back in a movie that actually looks quite good!
