It feels like a long time since we have seen a real stand out Tim Burton film. Yes, we have had ‘Alice in Wonderland’ back in 2010 and a few bits and bobs since then, but it feels ages since 2005’s bringing us ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and ‘Corpse Bride’. And, not even to mention the classics ‘Edward Scissorhands’, ‘Beetlejuice’, ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ and many more. However, 2016 could be a key year to get Tim Burton back on the map as the highly anticipated ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children’ is on the way and it is set to become a modern day classic.
In short – based on the popular book, a young boy stumbles across alternate worlds to discover Miss Peregrine and her home which is filled with mystery and danger. It undoubtedly sounds intriguing, and the trailer sheds some more light on the plot, as you can see below.
A brand new clip has been released showing ‘The Tour’ around the garden where Jake gets his first big insight into Miss Peregrine’s world and the mystery within. Previous Tim Burton films have been criticised for heavy use of CGI, whereas the potential with this film, is that it is limited, and the magic of the actors creating a more surreal experience ultimately making it more believable.

Obviously, this is just observations based primarily on the trailer and clips, however, from this alone, it seems this film won’t be one to miss and could be a launch pad for Tim Burton to get his foot back in the door and release a string of masterpieces and make him become a real measure of quality yet again.
