November sweeps is always an exciting time for any DC fan. Crossover time. I’ve been hanging out for months, and after watching one of the three episodes, I’m shook. Seeing all my favourite heroes in one episode was beautiful to watch. And it got me to thinking. Seeing as I watch all four shows on The CW, which one is my favourite? All have pros and cons.
1. ‘THE FLASH’
When this first premiered, I was taken aback at how epic it was. I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. Standing ovation to the writers and the entire special effects crew. Amazing work. The entire first season is such a gem. Every episode is made to impress. Unfortunately, the second season did have a few bumps along the way. However, it didn’t take away from how good the show actually is. ‘The Flash’ has quickly surpassed ‘Arrow’ as my favourite DC show. Keep it up guys. You’ve earned first place.
2. ‘SUPERGIRL’
Guys, I totally underestimated this show. Six months ago, I watched the first episode and I liked it, but never continued watching. Fast forward to the present and it’s now right up there as one of my favourite shows. The main reason is because it’s so different to the other superhero shows. For one, it’s all about female empowerment and I am so here for that. Secondly, it’s fun. The characters are all believable and damn good. Yes, the story needs some working on but overall it’s fantastic.
3. ‘LEGENDS OF TOMORROW’
If you love time-travel, this is the show for you. A team of “legends” travel through time to defeat bad guys. I think it’s epic. Season 1 did struggle a little in terms of story, but the second season is so much better! I’m glad I stuck around. Let’s be real, I wish Captain Cold was still alive, but you can’t always get what you want.
4. ‘ARROW’
Before you all start roasting me, let me explain why it’s last on my list. I loved season 1 and 2 of ‘Arrow’. Then the show started to lose me a bit in the later seasons. I started not really caring about Oliver’s side story. I do still enjoy the present storyline but I don’t love it as much as I used to. But without ‘Arrow’, there wouldn’t Flash or Legends so it’s a vital part of the DC family.
