This past week has been great for new film trailers, images and news (a Power Rangers new trailer being my personal favourite) So obviously we have to catch you up, our readers, on the best bits that are on our watchlist!
Maisie Williams joins the cast of new prehistoric comedy
Maisie Williams (from ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Doctor Who’ fame) has been cast in Nick Park’s new comedy-adventure animation movie ‘Early Man’. Maisie will be voicing a character named Goona, a rebel who befriends Eddie Redmayne’s character during the film. The film is set to be released early 2018 worldwide!
‘The Great Wall’ – three brand new featurettes released
Three brand new featurettes have been released for the Matt Damon-fronted Chinese action move, ‘The Great Wall.’ The film tells the story of Matt Damon’s character and a band of European mercenaries becoming embroiled with the defense of the Great Wall of China when monsters start to attack. The film has already been released in China where it smashed the box office. The film is released February 17th in the UK. Below is one of the featurettes released this past week!
‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’ – new teaser
‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’ stars ‘Sons of Anarchy’ actor Charlie Hunnam in the famous titular role. The film is directed by Guy Ritchie and is set to be one of the year’s biggest blockbusters. The film tells the famous story of King Arthur, however elements of magic and fantasy are thrown in to create an original fantastical story. The film also stars Jude Law in one of his best roles to date. We’re excited for this!
‘All Eyez On Me’ – new distributor and release date
‘All Eyez On Me’, the Tupac Shakur biopic, has finally found a distributor and locked down a release date. This will delight fans as many have been eargly awaiting a Tupac biopic to be done well, and this film looks like it’s going to be great! The film is set to be released on June 16th, 2017, which would have been Tupac’s 46th birthday. The film houses an all-star cast including fan favourites Kat Graham (‘The Vampire Diaries’) and Lauren Graham (‘The Walking Dead’).
‘Logan’ – new trailer released
‘Logan’ is setting up to be one of the year’s most highly anticipated watches. ‘Logan’ will be the last ‘Wolverine’ film that stars Hugh Jackman in the titular role. Patrick Stewart is rejoining Jackman in a farewell to the ‘Wolverine’ saga that started off back in 2001 with ‘X-Men’. A new trailer has been released, and it looks the most gritty ‘X-Men’ film to date! The film is set to be released worldwide March 1st.
‘Power Rangers’ – New Trailer
‘Power Rangers’, what a bloody show that was. Well guess what 90’s kids? There’s a brand spanking new movie coming out and it looks fantastic! The film is a reimagining of the famous brand and see’s 5 teenagers become unlikely heroes… our favourite type of story. The film stars Elizabeth Banks, Bryan Cranston and a personal favourite… Becky G! The film has had so much money thrown into it, we hope it pays off! The ‘Power Rangers’ new trailer looks awesome, too!
‘The Lost City of Z’ – official UK trailer
A new UK trailer has premiered for ‘The Lost City of Z’ an action-adventure movie that stars UBP favourite Charlie Hunnam. The film tells the true story of British explore Percy Fawcett who tried to find an ancient hidden city in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, before disappearing along with his son (played by new ‘Spiderman’, Tom Holland). The film looks fun and also very interesting! We’re so excited for it!
