7 things to get you excited about the new Marvel movies
I’m not sure if you know this, but I am a HUGE fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Shocking, I know. What can I say? I love them superhero films. So imagine how excited I am for the new upcoming Marvel movies for 2017! I’m pumped. Just in case you guys weren’t excited, here are a few little things to get you on my level.
1. The Infinity Stones
If you’ve been complete living under a rock, then you’d have no idea of the underlying storyline throughout the MCU: the infinity stones. To sum it up, there are six stones scattered throughout the universe and Thanos wants his hands on them. Currently we’ve seen 5/6 stones in action. And I’m hoping the sixth will reveal itself this year. I am ready.
2. “Dance off, bro.”
The long-awaited sequel is hitting us in a few months. Hallelujah. I have been patiently waiting for the next amazing Guardians movie. I loved the first one so much. So naturally, I’d be excited for this one. Maybe there’ll be another dance off?
Phase Three begins with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’, in U.S. theaters May 5, 2017.
3. Your friendly neighbourhood Spidey
Even though I grew up with the original Spider-Man movies with Tobey McGuire, a part of me is glad Marvel is finally going to get it right. We’ve been missing our web-slinging hero from all the ‘Avengers’ action, and it finally happened in ‘Captain America: Civil War.’ And now he’s getting his own movie to properly initiate him into the MCU.
‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ hits U.S. theaters on July 7th, 2017.
4. Thanos
His presence draws ever closer. After making a few appearances throughout the years, Thanos has retrieved the Gauntlet to hold all the infinity stones and become a God. Will he get his alien hands on any this year?
5. Tom Hiddleston
Look, I’m going to be completely blunt right now. You can never have enough Tom Hiddleston. Especially playing Loki. He’s the villain you love. He plays it so well. I love him long time. And considering the events that happened at the end of ‘Thor: The Dark World’, shit is about to hit the fan.
‘Thor: Ragnarok’ comes to U.S. theaters November 3rd, 2017
6. Baby Groot
Because how could I not dedicate an entire point to the cutest Marvel character ever? The trailers got me squealing of excitement when Baby Groot popped up. I want twenty. They will all fit in my pocket, thanks.
7. Infinity War
This is probably the most important one of all. These Marvel movies begin Phase Three and will pretty much pave the way to the ultimate instalment: ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ in 2018. I honestly cannot wait.
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is due out in U.S. theaters on May 4, 2018
