March has been a great month for blockbusters surprisingly and it isn’t letting off just yet. With the ‘Justice League’ official trailer just being released, here are the top picks from this week’s movie and TV news.
‘Justice League’ – Official Trailer
After critics panned both ‘Batman vs Superman’ and ‘Suicide Squad’, can Warner Bros/DC get back into their good books with their Avenger style team up movie due to be released in November? Well from the looks of the trailer they could succeed. Batman, Wonderwoman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash (yes Superman will be in the movie as well… but shhh spoiler). What a combination! Let’s hope the story is as good as the action looks in the trailer.
‘The Lost City Of Z’ – Released This Week
‘The Lost City Of Z’ is released this week and we’re hoping it’s going to be a scorcher. Starring Charlie Hunnam, Tom Holland and Sienna Miller, the film is an action-adventure set in the 1920s and is based on a true story. The film is hoping to follow in the footsteps of other films such as ‘National Treasure’ and ‘Indiana Jones’, bringing the good old adventure films back to the forefront of cinema. We’re here for it!
‘Redwood’ – Debut Poster and Festival Screening
‘Redwood’ is a new horror film that is bringing a fresh spin to the Vampire movie genre. Set in the woods it tells the story of a couple who find themselves face to face with the infamous residents of Redwood. The film stars Buffy alumni, Nicholas Brendon, back doing what he does best… slaying vamps.
‘Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul’ – New Trailer
The 4th film in the ‘Diary Of A Wimpy Kid’ cinematic series, ‘The Long Haul’ has a entirely different cast to the previous films. However, the film is still set to bring all the laughs when it’s released this year. Part road trip film (yes road trip, my favourite), we cannot wait to see how the new cast deal with this crazy little world.
‘Power Rangers’ – Behind The Scenes
‘Power Rangers’ was recently released this past week to the delight of hardcore fans. It’s looking to be a commercial success as it’s topping lots of box offices around the world. Now to engage the audience even further, a behind the scenes clip has been released detailing each character and the actor playing them.
‘Bones’ Season 12 and The Flesh & Bones Collection DVD/Blu-Ray Release
‘Bones’ has been a fan favourite since it’s debut over 12 years ago and now the finale is nearly upon us and it’s been a great ride with Emily Deschanel and gang, However don’t be too doom and gloom, season 12 is being released on DVD/Blu-Ray on June 13th so we can rewatch until our hearts are content. Also, the complete series of Bones will be released in a special collectors package on the same day. Get excited!
