Every Celebrity Cameo in Glass Onion
Detective Benoit Blanc is on the case again in this hit sequel to Knives Out
It’s been a few weeks since we last caught up with Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) in the Knives Out sequel, Glass Onion. Between the many twists and turns, memeable moments, and the “hourly dongs”, there were many surprising celebrity cameos that graced our screens.
If you have not yet watched Glass Onion, this is your warning for some mild spoilers because here’s a list of every celebrity cameo you may or may not have missed in Glass Onion.
1. Yo-Yo Ma
Yo-Yo Ma is hilariously at Birdie’s (Kate Hudson) party during quarantine. He is apparently in her “bubble” and helps her figure out which classic song is coming from the mysterious box that Miles Bron (Edward Norton) sent.
2. Natasha Lyonne, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Stephen Sondheim, and Angela Lansbury
In true quarantine fashion, Detective Blanc is playing the game Among Us virtually with his friends. His friends just happen to be some pretty high-profile people.
3. Ethan Hawke
Blink and you might miss Ethan Hawke’s cameo. He is the man who sprays every person with some sort of disinfectant before they take off to Mile Bron’s private island.
4. Hugh Grant
As a great surprise, Hugh Grant shows up as Phillip, confirming that Detective Blanc has a romantic partner.
5. Serena Williams
The tennis star appears on a screen as a virtual fitness instructor that Miles Bron paid for.
6. Joseph Gordon-Levitt
While the actor never makes an appearance on screen, his voice does. He plays the “hourly dong” that keeps the island on schedule. A fun fact about this duo is that Joseph Gordon-Levitt has appeared, either on or off-screen, in every movie Rian Johnson has made.
Notable Mentions: Jeremy Renner, Jared Leto, and Anderson Cooper
These celebrities don’t make an official cameo in Glass Onion but they are name-dropped in significant ways. In this world, Jeremy Renner has a hot sauce that later on, is a very important prop later, as well as Jared Leto’s hard kombucha, while Anderson Cooper or should I say his birthday party provides a damning clue for the murder suspect.
And there you have it, there’s every celebrity cameo that appears in Glass Onion.
Glass Onion is now streaming on Netflix.
Jake Tapper at the very beginning of the movie is interviewing Kathryn Hahn’s character.
