If there’s one thing that we can all agree on, it’s that this year, Dua Lipa has dominated the music industry with the release of her second studio album Future Nostalgia.

After she released her first single ‘Don’t Start Now’ back in October of 2019 and gave us a taste of what was to come in 2020, Dua showed us all that she was coming in at full speed and she was going to drop an album that would give us bop after bop.

With singles like ‘Physical’, ‘Break My Heart’, ‘Hallucinate’, and ‘Levitating’, Dua captures the sound of dance-pop, pop-funk, and disco perfectly. Dua truly brings meaning to the album’s name Future Nostalgia as she puts her twist onto pop music, but also finds a way to have us all reminiscing on the sounds of artists we grew up with.

And if there’s one song on this album that should get a lot more recognition, it’s ‘Love Again’.

On Netflix’s Song Exploder, we get an inside look at how Dua created this specific song. From the songwriting process to the production, Dua takes us on the journey from how this one song all stemmed from heartbreak. But don’t let that fool you into believing that this is a sad song. In fact, Dua even mentions that ‘Love Again’ is more about becoming strong again and of course, falling in love again, whether that is with someone new or just yourself.

Though ‘Love Again’ is the eighth track off of Future Nostalgia, it still manages to stand out. Once you see how this song came together, it’ll have you singing over and over, but goddamn, you got me in love again.
