2020 Billboard Music Awards: Here Are The Highlights Of The Show
It took six months for BBMAs to happen, but there was no way of 2020 ending without one of the most awaited shows in the music industry.
Hosted one more time by Kelly Clarkson and adapted to all safety distancing measures the BBMAs happened this Wednesday full of great performances, powerful speeches and artists taking multiple prizes home.
Billie Eilish received three awards last night – Top Female Artist, Top New Artist and Top 200 Billboard Album. The award for Top Song Sales Artist went to Lizzo who told everybody to acknowledge the power we carry inside. The hit Old Town Road by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus collected four wins and Khalid took home five awards in the R&B category. The big winner of the night was Post Malone, the singer received nine awards including Top Artist.

Harry Styles wasn’t there to receive the award in person, but that didn’t stop him from securing the Billboard Chart Achievement Award, one of the three categories voted by fans.

For the fourth year in a row BTS were crowned Top Social Artists proving that BTS Army is ready to keep their title even if the voting system changes.

Just like the categories, the show brought a variety of artists from country to latin music, pop to R&B along with amazing stages and elaborated performances.
Post Malone had a whole secret location and a firework show reserved for the performance of Circles and Tommy Lee with Tyla Yaweh.

Doja Cat looked stunning in her shining outfit resembling a lot Christina Aguilera in the movie Burlesque. The singer showed off her dance moves to three of her singles – Juicy, Say So and Like That.

John Legend probably moved many viewers to tears with his emotional performance of Never Break that he dedicated to his wife Chrissy. Kelly Clarkson expressed her admiration to John and Chrissy before and after the singer’s performance.

All the way from South Korea, BTS performed their Hot 100 number one single Dynamite along with a live band consisting of black musicians and backing vocals. The Korean hearthrobs sang and danced in neat red suits, taking all of our breaths away.
