17 Again
After graduating from the High School Musical trilogy, Zac Efron signed up for body-swap comedy ’17 Again’. In the teen flick, Mike O’Donnell (Matthew Perry) gets a unique chance to figure out where his life went wrong by getting a second chance at high school. As Mike’s teen self, Efron earned respectable acting credibility by expertly playing a middle-aged father trapped in a hot young body, freaking out about his daughter’s attitude to sex one moment and marveling at his ability to eat junk food without any guilt or consequence the next.
Bad Neighbours
Zac Efron went up against comedy heavyweight Seth Rogen in ‘Bad Neighbours’ and proved more than capable of holding his own. Playing the head of a fraternity who moves next door to young parents Mac and Kelly (Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne) upsetting the grown-up lifestyle they think they want, Efron and Rogen embark in a hilarious series of pranks and sabotage that quickly escalate and become more and more outrageous.
Dirty Grandpa
The opportunity to star opposite Hollywood legend Robert De Niro was enough for Zac Efron to sign up to this X-rated comedy. Playing a straight-laced lawyer who is tricked into going to Spring Break by his foul-mouthed grandfather, ‘Dirty Grandpa’ has some truly outrageous comedic moments between the unlikely pairing as they bond on the road trip of a lifetime.
Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates
Zac Efron and emerging comedy talent Adam Devine teamed up in this bonkers real-life story about hard-partying brothers who put an ad online for the perfect dates to join them at a family wedding. Things get even wilder when the pair that gets the job (Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza) outsmart and out-party the boys in a series of side-splitting scenes.
Baywatch
This year’s hottest comedy saw Zac Efron’s Matt Brody ruffle the feathers of Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) when he joins an elite lifeguard team. As the pair attempt to out-macho each other, they stumble into some shady dealings on the beach that they’ve sworn to protect and vow to get to the bottom of it. Badgeless and clueless, they exasperate the local law enforcement with their hysterical attempts to track down the criminals.
