6 TV shows to binge watch over the Christmas break
It’s that time of year again. No, I don’t mean Christmas. I mean that break with no new episodes of my favourite TV shows. Sad days. The bright side? I can binge watch all the shows I want to catch up on. Which generally leads to me having even MORE shows to watch, but life is short. Let me share my television expertise and give you six shows to keep you busy over the Christmas break.
1. ‘SUPERGIRL’
I don’t even care if you are watching ten shows. You NEED to add ‘Supergirl’ to your list. And binge it over the break. There are only 28 episodes so far so it’ll be easy to catch up. If you like a strong female-orientated show, ‘Supergirl’ is for you. It’s so fun and it’s something a little different to your usual superhero shows.
2. ‘GILMORE GIRLS’
Yes, the entire series is on Netflix. Yes, the 4-part revival is on there too. So why not? Get involved in someone else’s drama and become obsessed like I am. There are 7 seasons and four mini movies to keep you occupied. You’re welcome.
3. ‘THE WALKING DEAD’
Caution: Do NOT watch this show unless you are prepared to lose everybody you love. Do NOT get attached to any characters because they’ll probably die. I’m only halfway through season 4 and I’m so sad. Damn this show. If it wasn’t so good, and if I wasn’t invested in the story… just rip my heart out some more. I’m fine. If you can’t handle blood and guts, avoid this at all costs.
4. ‘PRETTY LITTLE LIARS’
One of the most addictive shows I’ve ever watched. Sometimes it’s terrible but you can’t help but watch. With the final ten episodes ever airing next year, why not go on a binge spree and catch up? Who is ‘A’? You’ll question everybody, even yourself.
5. ‘THIS IS US’
No, I don’t mean the One Direction movie, relax. It’ll be quite easy to catch up as there are only ten episodes so far. The writing is brilliant, the actors are amazing and the stories are so relatable. If you’re looking for a simple drama following people’s lives, this is it. Immerse yourself into this top show. You won’t regret it.
6. ‘PRISON BREAK’
How does one escape a prison after being falsely accused? Watch ‘Prison Break’ and find out. With the revival coming back to FOX in 2017, one must binge watch the entire series from start to finish. Thank god it’s on Netflix. Honestly, where would my life be without it?
Your bed or couch better be comfy cause you’ve got some watching to do.
