Lily Collins has been in some of our favourite films from ‘The Blind Side’ to ‘Love, Rosie’, and her latest film ‘Rules Don’t Apply’ is sure to be another favourite. Set in 1950’s Hollywood – this film explores a time where things are changing and morals are being questioned.
The story follows an ambitious young actress Marla Mabrey (Lily Collins) – she is known as a beauty queen amongst those in her small town, and is a devout Baptist virgin… she’s ‘pure’. She is under contract to a man named Howard Hughes (Warren Beatty). But when she arrives in Los Angeles she is greeted by another man, her driver Frank Forbes (Aiden Ehrenreich). Frank is engaged to be married to his childhood sweetheart and is a dedicated Methodist. Marla and Frank’s instant attraction and chemistry for one another leaves them questioning their values and puts their employment at risk – will their lives be changed forever?
‘Rules Don’t Apply’ is produced, directed and written by Warren Beatty. Starring alongside Beatty include Alec Baldwin, Annette Bening, Haley Bennett, Candice Bergen, Matthew Broderick, Dabney Coleman, Lily Collins, Steve Coogan, Alden Ehrenreich, Taissa Farmiga, Ed Harris, Megan Hilty, Oliver Platt and Martin Sheen.
