On Our Watchlist: Power Rangers, Wonder Woman, Six Rounds and more
March is a great month for cinema and TV. My childhood is coming to life when ‘Power Rangers’ is released later this month, the first ever female superhero fronted movie has a new trailer and we’ve seen ‘King Kong’ beat on his big ass chest earlier this month. Here is some of the best news, bits and clips that are on our watchlist and should be on yours too.
‘Wonder Woman’ – New Trailer and Poster
‘Wonder Woman’ has a new trailer and it’s pretty kick ass. The Gal Gadot fronted movie tells the origin story of one of the most iconic superheroes of all time. Set in the early 20th century, the film has the perfect mix of grit, fantastical elements and humour that is sure to capture an audience’s attention. Watch the trailer and look at the brand new poster below!
‘Wonder Woman’ is out June 2nd.
‘The Boss Baby’ – New Clip
Directed by the director of ‘Madagascar’, this unusual film tells the story of a baby…. who wears a suit and tie. Voiced by Alec Baldwin, ‘Boss Baby’ is set to be one of the stand out films of the year. With a underlying image of how important family is, it’s sure to follow in the footsteps of other deep animations like ‘Inside Out’!

‘The Promise’ – New Trailer and New Poster
Set amongst the Armenian Genocide, ‘The Promise’ stars Oscar Isaac, Charlotte Le Bon and Christian Bale in a heartbreaking story about love. With the fall of the Ottoman Empire, a love triangle and war…. this film is going to be an emotional ride.
‘The Promise’ is released April 27th.
‘The Sense Of An Ending’ – New Trailer
With an all star British cast including Jim Broadbent and Charlotte Rampling, ‘The Sense Of An Ending’ covers themes of guilt, heartbreak and secrets all wrapped up neat in a perfectly acted movie. The movie also challenges viewers to look back at their flawed past and understand changes can be made to better your future… even if you’re over 60.
‘The Sense Of An Ending’ is released April 14th.
‘Six Rounds’
Focusing on a boxing match, set upon the backdrop of the London 2011 riots. ‘Six Rounds’ follows the fate of a young black man who faces issues of racism and acceptance. A very important film for these scary times, go support this independent movie when it’s released this year.
‘The Void’ – New Trailer
‘Prepare for a new slice of terror’ the film poster states. That’s what you are honestly going to get when you go see this film. After a man picks up a blood-soaked man from the road, he’s thrown into a terrifying fight for survival from an otherworldly force. Watch the great new trailer below!

Snatched – New Trailer
Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn as a mother-daughter duo who go on an adventure to South America? Sign me up! The film follows Schumer’s box office smash ‘Trainwreck’ and is set to be the film of the summer. Hawn hasn’t been in a movie for a while so it will be nice to see the legendary actress in a comedic role.
‘Snatched’ is released May 19th!
La La Land – DVD Release
The Oscar winning global smash starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling has a release date of DVD/Blu-Ray…. how exciting! The film has been a commercial and critical success with Stone winning the Best Actress award at the Oscars this past month. If you haven’t seen it, now’s the perfect time when it’s released on May 8th.
‘Divorce’: Season 1 DVD/Blu Ray Release
Sarah Jessica Parker returned to our screens this past year after playing one of the most iconic characters in TV history, Carrie Bradshaw. This role in Divorce has earned Sarah Jessica Parker a nomination for Best Actress at the Golden Globes. The season is 10 episodes and has received critical success after it’s release.
‘Divorce’ is released on DVD/Blu-Ray, May 9th.
‘Power Rangers’ – New Clip
My childhood is coming to the big screen….ah!! I’m so excited to say that the ‘Power Rangers’ movie is released this month! The story follows 5 teenagers who discover special stones that make them guardians of the earth from evil beings like Rita Repulsa (played by Elizabeth Banks). A new clip for the film has been released this week.
‘Power Rangers’ is released March 24th.
