Disney is in the midst of hosting its annual D23 in Anaheim, California and a lot of news has been announced including a surprise for all princess fans…

You’ve probably heard of the film ‘Wreck it Ralph’, right? Well, there is a sequel of the film and it’s been announced that many of your favourite Disney princesses will have a cameo!

The first look at ‘Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2’, was one of the highlights during Disney’s Pixar and Disney Animation presentation, where the follow up to the 2012 homage to arcade games finds Ralph (voiced by John C Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) escaping the arcade and entering the wild world of the Internet in order to find a way to fix Vanellope’s game.

Silverman was at the presentation along with directors Rich Moore and Phil Johnston who talked about the film. The audience saw the premiere of a madcap scene in which Vanellope finds her way to a backstage area of a Disney site in which she encounters the Disney Princesses, becoming friends with all of them as we learn a few things about each that we didn’t know before.

The 9 princesses who were seen in the film (and whose original voice actors were present at the screening) were Moana, Anna (Frozen), Merida (Brave), Rapunzel (Tangled), Tiana (The Princess and the Frog), Pocahontas, Jasmine (Aladdin), Belle (Beauty and the Beast) and Ariel (The Little Mermaid).

This exciting surprise is hugely talked about and the first time in history where all the princesses have been encountered in the same Disney film, thus putting the sequel to ‘Wreck it Ralph’ pretty high up on the ‘must see’ list of future releases.

I don’t know about you, but as a huge Disnerd, I am ecstatic to see all the legendary Disney royalty brought together and in an up-to-date current day scenario.
