Everybody stop right now. Take a seat, because you’re about to be shook. Our friendly neighbour hood star, Tom Holland, dropped the first official ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ trailer on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I’ve waited MONTHS for this! Ever since Spider-Man’s appearance in ‘Captain America: Civil War’, I’ve needed more. And boy, did this just raise my expectations.
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore the original ‘Spider-Man’ films. But damn, ‘Homecoming’ is about to be SO lit. And for once it doesn’t seem like we’ll be getting an origin story. Because let’s be real, we’ve seen it too many times. This time around, Peter Parker already has his powers. Thank you, because I don’t think I could see another Uncle Ben death. Sorry, not sorry.
‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ follows on after the events of ‘Civil War’, and I am totally on board with this. And shout out to the crew for actually casting a young Peter Parker. Finally.
Can we also have a moment of silence to appreciate Tony Stark in the trailer? His one-liners have already got me in stitches. I can just tell this is going to be one hell of a film. The excitement is too real.
