8 favourite quotes from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’
I underestimated how brilliant this film was going to be. After ‘The Avengers’, nothing topped that experience. And then came Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. Epic. I couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out. Totally unexpected.
So it comes as no surprise that it got picked up for a second movie. YAS! I need to see the cast save the galaxy one more time. My soul needs it. And I need more of those hilarious quotes from the first movie. Ahh, the memories of me laughing in the cinema.
I remember the lady in front of me in the cinema. Every time she laughed, she sounded like she was dying. I don’t know what the hell was happening but I will never forget her laugh. It made me laugh even harder during the movie. Ah, bless her. Let’s take a look back at some of my fave quotes.
1. THE ACCURACY IS REAL
One of my absolute favourites. This sums up my response when somebody asks me a similar question. “Why do you care who wins the election?” “Cause I’m the idiot that lives here.” Yeah, same.
2. SAME, ROCKET
When my friends come up with a stupid plan and all I can do is laugh because of how stupid it is. Then proceed to do said plan. Sums up my entire group of friends.
3. ME AT LIFE
Family gatherings is when all your relatives asks you “what are your plans for the future?” and I’m all like “yeah, what plan?” Same Star-Lord. I have 12% of my future plan.
4. HOW TO INSULT SOMEONE
This is how I respond to elderly homophobes. Oh, don’t like my lifestyle? 1960’s called, they want their hairdo back. Boom.
5. GROOT
Yes Groot, you do you.
6. YAS, GAMORA
There’s nothing better than the good guys finally realising to stand up and fight. Love me some kicking evil butt action. Always.
7. I SPIT OUT MY POPCORN
I vividly remember eating popcorn and spitting it out at this quote. I don’t know why but I found this utterly hilarious. The banter between Groot and Rocket is my fave.
8. THE GUARDIAN OF THE GALAXY
This is how you do it folks. This is how you brilliantly distract your enemy. We can all learn from Star-Lord. Honestly, I’d do the same. Or I’d sing really badly. Whichever works.
Did these bring back good memories? I’m sure it did. Now check out the official sneak peek trailer for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’. I’m so excited. In cinemas April 28th 2017 (UK) and May 5th 2017 (U.S.)
