Zayn and Taylor Swift have teamed up for the new single titled ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’. The track is from the ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ soundtrack, the cinematic sequel to the 2015 global hit ‘Fifty Shades’.
The announcement came from Taylor’s own Twitter account, with a single cover and download link attached.

The song is the first new release from Tay since her 2014 album ‘1989’ (or ‘This Is What You Came For’, if you’re feeling shady) and showcases a brand new sound for the popstar. ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’ is obviously influenced by the inclusion of Zayn’s vocals, and production comes from Taylor’s friend and frequent producer Jack Antonoff (‘Out Of The Woods’).
The sound is very sexy, sensual and dark—something that mirrors both the title of the movie the song comes from as well as the new sound that both popstars are adapting during the run-up to Taylor’s sixth and Zayn’s second album.
The song is already storming up the charts and has hit #1 on Taylor’s native U.S. iTunes. You can download the new single here right now!
‘Fifty Shades Darker’ will hit theaters February 10th. You can watch the trailer for the film below (which already boasts songs from the likes of Taylor, Zayn, and, one of my personal favourites, a ‘Crazy In Love’ cover from Miguel.
