Simply put — Swifties just keep on winning.
While accepting the Video of the Year award at the 2022 VMAs, Taylor Swift revealed that she would release new music this year. But in good ol’ TS fashion, the singer then announced at midnight that she would be releasing her 10th studio album, Midnights.
Midnights, the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life, will be out October 21. Meet me at midnight.

Taylor captioned her social media posts detailing the meaning behind the new upcoming record, writing:
“Midnights, the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life, will be out October 21. Meet me at midnight.”
And as always, putting her magical-songwriting quill to use, in her post, Taylor shared an even longer message with her fans regarding Midnights as well as a look at the album cover, which just so happens to show that it will feature 13 tracks.
It’s been almost a year since Taylor last released Red (Taylor’s Version), and though many Swifties have been speculating which next re-recorded album she would release — I’m patiently waiting for you, 1989 (Taylor’s Version) — needless to say, this announcement is everything and more.
