The lead single, ‘ATTITUDE’, highlights the group’s daring approach to both love and self-assurance. Sampling Suzanne Vega’s ‘Tom’s Diner’, (or for us emo kids, we might also know it as Fall Out Boy’s ‘Centuries’). Which resonate with listeners of all different generations. The track is co-written by member WONYOUNG which gives it an extra personal and special touch. The music video for ‘ATTITUDE’ complements the song’s bold energy, featuring striking choreography and visuals that match the track’s themes of confidence and emotional depth. Across all six tracks on IVE EMPATHY, the group explores different fields of music genres, proving their versatility as artists. The pre-release and opener of the EP, ‘REBEL HEART’, is giving pure confidence and girl power. Other tracks such as ‘FLU’ and ‘You Wanna Cry’ dive into deeper, emotional and more reflective territories. Whilst ‘Thank U’ and ‘TKO’ offer energetic, catchy beats and are real songs to sing-a-long with. It reminds fans why IVE is one of the most exciting groups in K-pop today.
IVE is impressing the globe, by reaching different milestones by having their very own first world tour: ‘SHOW WHAT IVE HAVE’ including an amazing performance on Lollapalooza.
