Review: Extrazen’s WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR HANDS is Bold and Emotional

The question “What to do with your hands?” might seem unusual, but upcoming alt-pop sensation Extrazen offers an answer in his latest EP, WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR HANDS. The EP is packed with raw emotion, fresh production, and captivating stories shared by the artist himself. From the very first track, WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR HANDS grabs the listener’s attention and never lets go.

The EP kicks off with “360 PALM STRETCH” which is literally an electrifying opener that sets the tone for a collection of songs that approaches self analysis with high-energy, club-ready beats. The rapper has an actual talent for blending emotional depth with danceable and funky beats. It’s something that you hear back on tracks such as “PLASTER ME” and “MEANING”. The last one especially is such a vulnerable and personal song, where Extrazen explores the difficult balance between pursuing one’s dreams and navigating family expectations, delivering some of his most powerful lyrics on the EP. However, the peak of the EP arrives at the last two songs. “BACK TO LIFE” and “DON’T YOU WORRY”. Which both are tracks on their own, yet you hear that they have a connection to each other and is surely making an impression on the listener.
