Rookie K-pop group AMPERS&ONE took off on their first U.S. run this year, and they’ve now completed over half of the 19 scheduled stops of their My First _ Tour. The Lincoln Square Auditorium in Chicago was buzzing with excitement long before the doors opened. The septet (Kamden, Brian, Jiho, Siyun, Mackiah, Kyrell, and Seungmo) debuted in 2023 under FNC Entertainment, and they’ve already built up a dedicated following despite being active for less than two years. Fans (known as ANDEAR) were decked out in merch, handing out freebies, and there were whispers of people who had been waiting outside the venue since the early hours of the morning.

Members Kamden, Brian, Jiho, Siyun, Mackiah, Kyrell, and Seungmo were still able to give it their all despite the grueling tour schedule, and they put on an exciting show for their fans in the Windy City. A large portion of their catalog consists of tracks that are high-energy, requiring their performance to reach the same level of liveliness as their sound. Their enthusiasm and ability to get the crowd off their feet was a key element to the concert, alongside the talent they displayed. Before the song “Slide”, the audience was taught part of the song and asked them to sing along when the time came. ANDEARs did more than deliver that promise, the venue started shaking under everyone’s feet due to the amount of people who were up and jumping around.

In addition to hearing the group’s entire discography in one night, ANDEARs watched some fun covers the members prepared. Their renditions of “Blood Sweat & Tears” by BTS and “God’s Menu” by Stray Kids, as well as Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” and “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars were all hits. The crowd was fired up for this segment, and it wasn’t just because the tracks they performed were massive hits. ANDEARs’ love for their favorite artists could be seen, heard, and felt all throughout the room. It’s not difficult to understand the appreciation after witnessing their live performance, these idols are highly skilled and they’ve clearly worked hard to give their beloved fans a night to remember. AMPERS&ONE did an excellent job at creating a fun and carefree environment, and they proved themselves to be capable vocalists and dancers. Recently they announced they will be releasing a mini album in April, kicking back into high gear immediately after their tour wraps up. If you’re considering buying a ticket to one of their last few shows, or interested in checking out their music before the comeback, you won’t be disappointed. The music is fun, the members are talented and charming, and the environment at their concerts is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. This group is well on their way to a very successful career, and they’re definitely one to keep your eye on.
