OPI’s Washington DC collection is perfect for the colder weather
It’s hard to enjoy the final month of summer when stores are already brining out the sweaters and boots, but it’s official—we’ve got autumn on the brain. Even though winter always follows a little too quickly, the colder months of the year bring with them some of the greatest things, like apple picking, hot chocolate, the best holidays of the year, warm scarves, and, of course, darker nail polish.
The second the calendar flips to September, nails get shorter and darker. The nail polish queens over at OPI sure seem to agree, as they’ve just released their fall/winter 2016 collection, inspired by the city of Washington DC. They even partnered with Kerry Washington (we don’t think her last name was coincidence) on the 16 new shades. Here are our four favorite picks.
1. CIA = Color Is Awesome
Awesome is right. OPI describes this shade as “a smart, dusky blue for secret agent fashionistas.”
2. Shh…It’s Top Secret
You won’t be able to keep this dark brown shade top secret when everyone asks you what it’s called.
3. Kerry Blossom
Simultaneously bright and dark, this berry cream polish will take you seamlessly from summer to fall.
4. Squeaker of the House
For those who don’t want to go too dark, but still want to keep it wintery and neutral.
You can see the other 12 shades from OPI’s Washington DC collection on their US or UK website.
