After the news broke that One Republic were one of the acts headlining the Apple Music Festival, we hoped there’d be some more news brewing from the 1R camp. Needless to say we were not left disappointed… the official music video for their new single ‘Kids’ has finally surfaced on the bands YouTube account.
Not only was the music video shot in Mexico but the single was also recorded there, as well as in Mexico City, Tokyo and Japan (although it’s not featured in the video).
The band are planning on creating another version of the ‘Kids’ video in the near future, only this time in 3D. (The future is now!) Fans will have the chance to experience 360 degree virtual 1R-eality. Having already seen numerous virtual reality style videos on Facebook, we’re really looking forward to seeing a music video in this format…

Following the release of their single ‘Wherever I Go’, ‘Kids’ will be the second track released from their fourth studio album which is due out later this year. It’s been three years since the release of their last album ‘Native’, which reached number one in 54 countries. (Total brag, amirite?!) We can’t wait for the joys of their new album to hit our ears!
We’re wondering if they’ll tease us with some more sneaky debuts from the new album at the Apple Music Fest? We’ll just have to wait and see!
You can download ‘Kids’ on iTunes or you can stream it on Spotify.
