Since today is an extremely special day for Niall and his fans with his eagerly-anticipated album The Show being released, we took the opportunity to look back at his top career highlights. Of course there are so many to choose from but we managed to narrow it down to our personal top five moments.
1.The X Factor
It only seems right to start where it all began, right? The X Factor kick-started Niall’s career with One Direction and there were so many highlights within this period of his career. Who could forget the iconic performances and the video diaries? Take a look at his first live performance with One Direction above.
2. Award Ceremonies
Niall has won several awards through his 13 year career but we picked out the most notable. Niall has won seven BRITs, seven AMAs and six Billboard Music Awards with One Direction. As an incredible solo artist, he has won multiple BMI awards, iHeart awards but most favorably an AMA for Artist of the Year in 2017. 3. Selling Out Wembley Stadium and Madison Square Garden
It’s virtually impossible to list all of the iconic venues that Niall has performed at in his career. Wembley Stadium and Madison Square Garden are standouts just for the sheer size of each venue. How incredible is that Niall will be taking the stage to a sold-out Madison Square Garden again for his world tour next year! Remind yourself of his first solo performance at Wembley Stadium above.
4. Flicker / Heartbreak Weather
Niall’s first two albums were amazing so it was no surprise how well they did in the charts. Flicker was released in 2017 and debuted at number one on the Irish Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200. Heartbreak Weather followed suit in 2020 and debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and the Irish Albums Chart. No doubt The Show will also break the charts!
5. The Show Era
2023 has been a very busy year for Niall so far. Not only has he released two singles, announced an album and a tour but he has also completed his first season as a coach on The Voice US. He even went and proved he was the best coach as he actually won the show with his contestant, Gina Miles! You can watch his performance with Gina above.
