The K-pop girl group of the moment are back with their 12th mini album Ready To Be. The album was highly anticipated and gathered 1.7 million pre-orders. Now that is finally here, you can check out the tracks that carry heavy pop beats and TWICE’s touch in every song.
The main single “SET ME FREE” comes in two versions, one in Korean and one in English. Just like their previous works, TWICE is betting on a more mature concept. The lyrics talk about a love so strong that can make one want to be free to live that love. The movie video shows the girls getting out of things that trap them and an impressive choreography that they never fail to deliver. They look even more stunning with their pretty outfits.
Ready To Be includes 7 tracks. “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE” being the pre-single released back in January. TWICE performed this song at the Billboard Women in Music Awards, where they were honored for all their accomplishments in the music industry. They’ve gained a lot of popularity in the US and became the best selling girl group in 2022.
The other tracks on the mini album are “GOT THE THRILLS”, “BLAME IT ON ME”, “WALLFLOWER” and “CRAZY STUPID LOVE”, all of them upbeat pop songs and fit their style so much. Ready To Be is without a doubt a no-skips album.
If you’re a TWICE fan, or ONCE as they call their fan base, and want to see them live, let me tell you that they’re going on tour pretty soon. From April to July they’ll be on the road, starting the tour in Korea, passing by Australia, Japan, the US and Canada. JYPE says more dates are possible to be announced soon. The “Ready To Be Tour” is ready to take over Stadiums and Arenas around the globe.
TWICE has been active since 2015 and has built a very loyal fan base in Korea and now the number of fans overseas only increases with each new comeback. All we know is that Nayeon, Jihyo, Dahyun, Tzuyu, Chaeyoung, Mina, Sana, Momo and Jeongyeon are collecting milestones in their 8-year career and they deserve every single one of them.
