The Kid LAROI finally dropped his debut album, THE FIRST TIME, a 20-track masterpiece showcasing his innovative and genre-defying artistry.
The album boasts an impressive lineup of collaborations, including features from Central Cee, D4VD, Future, Jung Kook, Robert Glasper, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and more.
To mark the album’s release, The Kid LAROI has also unveiled the Cole Bennett-directed music video for the opening track, “SORRY.” The video, with a nostalgic nod to his earlier work in “Let Her Go,” is a soulful journey where LAROI introspectively confesses, “Every day I wake up scared that it could be taken from me,” before asserting, “I ain’t sorry.”
The album features a powerful and diverse range of tracks, including a reflective recollection from Justin Bieber on “STRANGERS PT. 2 (Interlude)” and a collaboration with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Robert Glasper on “CALL ME INSTEAD.”
A standout moment in the album comes during the concluding track, “KIDS ARE GROWING UP,” where The Kid LAROI reflects on his journey, acknowledging, “Growing up I watched my favorite rappers’ interviews, I ain’t believe ’em when they said it ain’t all what it seems, but now I’m here I realize they were telling the truth.”
