After a seven-month break, singer-songwriter Seori has released her fifth single, ‘Can’t Stop This Party’.
‘Can’t Stop This Party’ is an all-English song and the follow-up to ‘Dive with You’, featuring eaJ and released in August 2021. The song is written by globally acclaimed writers Chloe Angelides, Joseph Bryn Kearns, Treyshun Campbell and produced by Joseph Kearns.
‘Can’t Stop This Party’ is described as a hypnotizing, moody pop and R&B track that features Seori’s gentle but charismatic vocals over a piano intro that seamlessly blends into a melancholy, lo-fi beat. The moody sound matches the song lyrics, describing the feeling of her being trapped, frustrated, and stressed from unrequited love.
In the lyrics, Seori explores and expresses feeling hurt and betrayed by a loved one and is overwhelmed with bitterness with the past. She finds herself at a party she does not want to leave to escape and survive the painful reality.
Born Baek Sohyun, Seori took a chance at music at 19 years old by writing and composing songs. After launching her YouTube channel, she started to gain the global audience’s attention for her cover videos that went viral in South Korea, helping Seori become a rising international singer-songwriter.
