This week, K-Pop superstar rookie group RIIZE released a remix of their recent single “Impossible.” Featuring French house artist Darius (who has remixed for Jessie Ware and Dua Lipa), the track stays consistent with the y2k vibes the group has associated with their image so far. This track captures a feeling reminiscent of a summer night in the 2000s, combining a beat wrapped in nostalgia with the group’s fresh vocals to create a new classic. The release of this single follows their previous b-sides “9 Days,” “Honestly,” and the group’s first fan song “One Kiss.” Their upcoming debut mini album RIIZING – The 1st Mini Album will be released on June 17.
In less than a year since their debut, RIIZE has already left their mark on the K-Pop scene and shown fans that they’re only getting started. The group’s name combines the words – “rise,” symbolizing growth, and “realize,” representing achievements – which expresses the idea of a team that progresses together as a unit to reach their goals. The members seem determined to live up to their name. From achieving over one million physical pre-orders for their debut single “Get A Guitar,” being brought on as house ambassadors for Louis Vuitton, and signing to RCA Records before their official debut, RIIZE is quickly becoming a household name in the genre.
The boy group is currently in the middle of their fan-con tour “RIIZING DAY,” with stops in cities across the world including Mexico City, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Taipei. Since debut the members have spent time building a connection with their fans by showing them their down-to-earth personalities, and now they’re getting to greet them face-to-face. Their consistent releases and dedication to their fans has created an unbreakable bond between RIIZE and BRIIZE (pronounced “breeze”).
