Doyoung, Haechan, and Mark – as the subunit NCT U – have released a new single, ‘coNEXTion (Age of Light)’ on March 20. The song has been released as part of NCT’s new project, [STATION : NCT LAB], the NCT music archiving project that will showcase NCT’s colourful music, including solo songs, self-composed songs, and unit songs.
The title ‘coNEXTion’ is an invitation to step into the future and a statement that everyone is connected. “coNEXTion” here has the meaning of going together, always connected in place and time in the future. In the latest episode of NCT News, Taeil and Haechan described ‘coNEXTion (Age Of Light)’ as an alternative hip-hop song that uses traditional Korean instruments; Mark has co-written its lyrics.

The song has been released with a performance video featuring Shotaro. Shotaro appears performing with backup dancers, expressing the concepts of connection and connecting with light while matching the dynamic and fluid power of the song.
‘coNEXTion (Age Of Light)’ is the theme song for the “Age of Light” project, the immersive cultural project also known as “Gwanghwa Sidae”, in Seoul, created by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism alongside the Korea Creative Content Agency. The event aims to provide historical, cultural, and art-related content for people to experience the country’s latest advanced technology, such as 5G networks, augmented reality (AR), and holography.
Meanwhile, Haechan and Mark, as also members of NCT DREAM, will make a comeback with their second album, Glitch Mode, on March 28. Taeyong has opened his YouTube Channel, TY TRACK, and released the performance video for the new unreleased single ‘Lonely’.
NCT have launched the new original entertainment show “The NCT Show in The NCT Universe”. NCT will release new content on YouTube every month.
