A new music video teaser for JAY B’s single ‘go UP’ has been released and the excitement amongst fans is going up!
On September 19 at midnight – Korean time – JAY B’s CDNZA Records revealed a new music video teaser for ‘go UP’. In the 28 seconds, we see JAY B skating and chilling with friends in a skate park and then turning the place into a party.
From the teaser, it seems like JAY B is embracing a different music style with ‘go UP’, departing from his signature and beloved gloomy R&B but still staying true to himself by going back to his roots.
JAY B’s sophomore EP Be Yourself will be released on September 21 at 6 pm KST.

JAY B is feeling himself in the highlight medley for his upcoming second EP, Be Yourself.
The highlight medley is always one of the most awaited contents in the promotional campaign. This time, JAY B is left alone in a room after completing filming what seems to be a piece of content for the album release; he casually decides to give viewers – and listeners – a taste of what they will get from Be Yourself while moving from one room to another.
JAY B‘s groovy voice guides listeners to a style that appears to move from his often gloomy R&B style but still feels very JAY B.

JAY B revealed the tracklist for the upcoming new EP Be Yourself, set to be released on September 21.
The EP contains six tracks, including the title track ‘Go Up’. The other songs are ‘Break It Down’, ‘Livin’’, The Way We Are’, ‘Fountain Of Youth’ and ‘Holiday’.
For the tracklist poster, JAY B has opted for a retro-varsity vibe with a rugby helmet and balls, cameras and a camcorder. In addition, JAY B added his real name ‘Lim Jae Beom” and the title of the tracks are all listed in English.

The tracklist announcement has raised expectations not only because JAY B has worked with the likes of LEON, RoyalDive, Mirror Boy, iHwak and JUNNY for lyrics, composition and arrangement but also because he teamed up with rapper Sik-K for the song ‘Break It Down’.
Def. is credited as lyrics on ‘Go Up’, ‘Break It Down’ and ‘Livin’’; as composer on ‘Break It Down’, ‘Livin’’, Fountain Of Youth’ and ‘Holiday’.

JAY B revealed the title track of his second EP.
On September 12, JAY B’s record label, CDNZA Records, shared the first teaser for the song ‘Go Up’ – and its music video. In the video, a group of dancers is dancing freely and b-boying; the dancers then gather and keep dancing with smiles on their faces in a pleasant and chill atmosphere. In the teaser, JAY B shows his groove in the relaxed atmosphere.
‘Go Up’ is a powerful groovy pop song that combines the orchestration sound of the new jack swing, popular in the 1990s, with the funk genre. The lyrics’ message is to shake off the burden and find true freedom beyond other people’s expectations, giving listeners a sense of exhilaration.
JAY B’s second EP, Be Yourself, captures the heartfelt message of freely expressing yourself as you are rather than being conscious of other people’s judgement.

JAY B shared the first concept photos from his upcoming EP Be Yourself.
In the concept photos for the ‘Be’ version, JAY B is lounging on an armchair, staring at the camera at pointing a remote in its direction. In another one, he is starting somewhere with a video camera pointing at him and in the last cut JAY B is face to face with an animal doll giving off a relaxed and playful vibe. In the three cuts, JAY B is also wearing casual outfits matching the ‘Be Yourself’ vibe and he is surrounded by retro-vintage items.

JAY B has announced and shared details about his new EP. JAY B’s sophomore EP is titled Be Yourself and is set to be released on September 21 at 6 pm KST. According to the teaser shared via CDNZA Records, JAY B will share content and teasers for Be Yourself on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until release.
Be Yourself is available to pre-order and comes in two versions, ‘Be’ and ‘Yourself’. JAY B has also shared the jacket poster for the ‘Be’ version on September 1.

Be Yourself is the second EP from JAY B after his debut with SOMO : FUME in August 2021 via H1GHR MUSIC. JAY B joined H1GHR MUSIC in May 2021 and released the single ‘Switch It Up’, making JAY B the first Korean soloist to debut on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales Chart and the song also debuted on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Digital Song Sales Chart – JAY B was the third Korean solo artist to debut on the chart.
JAY B’s musical alter-ego Def. released his first solo EP, LOVE, in January 2022.
