International pop artist HEYOON made her official debut on November 13 with her single “Pivot” featuring artist and songwriter Armani White. Formerly a member of global pop group Now United, the singer found a new home with Universal Music Global. During her time as a member of Now United she participated in sold-out stadium tours across 30+ countries and released over 100 singles and music videos.

The song’s feature artist Armani White is no stranger to success either, with his hit single “Billie Eilish” peaking at #58 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Working with HEYOON on this track brought a new energy—I got the opportunity to take a more mellow approach. Our vibes clicked in person and on record, so it was easy!” he shared in the song’s press release.

A powerful start to the singer’s career as a soloist, this track explores themes of toxicity in a relationship and the decision to step away and seek better. “It’s the push and pull of knowing your worth and the fear of leaving something you’ve invested in,” HEYOON says about the single in her press release. The song comes paired with a beautiful music video, crafted by a woman-led creative team. Visuals inspired by the singer’s own lucid dreaming experiences create a melancholic and surreal atmosphere. “It was creatively fulfilling to work with such a talented director who took those dream elements and grounded them into captivating visuals,” she explained.

“Pivot” tells a story of taking control of a messy situation and moving on even when it’s tough. HEYOON’s saccharine vocals and the switch-up to Armani’s perspective creates a fun yet moody dynamic, both artists coming together to vent about unhealthy relationships. Stream “Pivot” here!
