Featuring over 50 bands across four different stages, Gasparilla Music Festival will be an event you don’t want to miss. Headliners include Louis the Child, Young the Giant, and Lake Street Dive. A variety of genres will bring together a multitude of people from differing backgrounds to all enjoy a weekend of music.
I will only be attending Saturday of the fest, but that will still allow me to experience a range of different bands. I am most excited for Young the Giant, Coin, Beach Weather, and The Collection! These are more pop/alternative bands, but I’ll also get the chance to see Rebirth Brass Band that will expose me to New Orleans funk as well as hip hop with a performance by Digable Planets.
Other artists at the festival include Aidan Bissett, Surf Mesa, Stealin’ Peaches, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and more.
A silent disco will also be going on Friday and Saturday evenings as an extra source of entertainment. Sunday will include a Kids Fest from 1-4pm that will be free for children under 12 with fun activities like a petting zoo and tie dyeing. Gasparilla will be an all around exciting event fun for the whole family!
