EPIK HIGH are back with their tenth full album Epik High Is Here 下 (Part 2) – the follow-up to 2021’s Epik High Is Here 上 (Part 1). Two singles lead the album, ‘Gray So Gray’, featuring Younha, and ‘Super Rare’ featuring South Korean rappers Wonstein and pH-1.
Across Epik High Is Here 下 (Part 2), Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz cover the themes of love and loss that everyone can experience in their daily life – from losing faith in yourself and still remembering to be kind to yourself to heartbreak.
The lead single ‘Gray So Gray’ sees EPIK HIGH team up with Younha after working together on ‘Umbrella’ in 2014. ‘Gray So Gray’ is a raw and very emotional song. The melody and the harmonies blend exceptionally well and EPIK HIGH once again master the art of combining rap and vocal sections in the most natural way, with their voices complementing each other.
The music video is filmed like a home video, with a young woman experiencing happy moments in her life, until we see her curled up on a couch, unhappy, towards the end of the video.
The second lead single, ‘Super Rare’ featuring Wonstein and pH-1, has an upbeat and confident vibe.
Epik High Is Here 下 (Part 2) features 12 tracks, including the 2021 singles ‘Face ID’ – featuring GIRIBOY, Sik-K, and JUSTHIS – and ‘Rain Song’ – featuring offonoff’s Colde.
EPIK HIGH’s Tablo shared on Twitter that the record has amassed almost 10 million streams only a day after the release.
EPIK HIGH IS HERE 下 ready to hit 10million @spotify streams. It’s been less than 40 hours. 🚀🌕
