5 must-see acts at Hangout Fest 2022
From big artists such as Post Malone, Halsey, and Fall Out Boy to smaller up-and-coming artists, the lineup is packed with great acts.
Next weekend, we’ll be grabbing our sunscreen and shades and heading to the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama, for the three-day festival, Hangout Fest. From big artists such as Post Malone, Halsey, and Fall Out Boy to smaller up-and-coming artists, the lineup is packed with great acts. Here are your five must-see acts at Hangout Fest 2022:
Chelsea Cutler
Chelsea is an artist that has been coming into her own this past year. Her sophomore album When I Close My Eyes showed her versatility and growth not only as an artist but also as an individual. She proved that she’s more than just a “sad singer/songwriter.”
To see how far she has come over these past couple of years with her self-confidence while performing a live show has been inspiring to watch. She gained a voice for herself with this new found confidence, and it’s evident when you see her live show. Chelsea’s music is encouraging, honest, and inspirational — something we could all use more of in this day and age.
Her set is right before The Band CAMINO, so make sure to get there early to see her perform!
The Band CAMINO
Their debut album came out last year, and since then they’ve been touring nonstop. From being on tour with Dan + Shay this past year to recently wrapping up their own tour, this pop/rock band shows no signs of stopping. They will continue part two of their headlining tour this summer.
Before they go back on tour, though, you can catch them performing their popular songs such as “Daphne Blue” and “See Through” at Hangout Fest on Saturday evening at the SURF stage. They put on a great live set that leaves you in a good mood, so you definitely don’t want to miss out on seeing them live.
They also collaborated on a song this past year with Chelsea Cutler titled “Crying Over You.” Since Chelsea will be performing on the same stage right before their set at Hangout Fest, we’re hoping to see a surprise cameo from her on stage with The Band CAMINO.
Hastings
Matt Hastings, a singer/songwriter from Nashville, was just on tour this past month supporting The Band CAMINO. Hangout Fest will be his first festival, and Hastings — as a new up-and-coming artist — already has an impressive amount of confidence while performing on stage. He released his debut EP last year, and his talent is clearly evident in the six-track EP.
Make sure to get there early to catch his set Saturday.
beabadoobee
Filipino-British singer-songwriter Bea Kristi (better known as beabadoobee) is categorized under “bedroom pop.” She will be headlining Saturday night on the BMI Mermaid Stage. Her music gives off a ’90s nostalgia vibe. You may have heard of her from her 2017 song “Coffee,” but trust me when I say you will love her after you hear her set.
ROLE MODEL
Tucker Pillsbury, who goes under the stage name ROLE MODEL, has had a busy year so far with headlining a world tour and playing festivals all over the States. He’s developed a hardcore loyal fanbase — and rightfully so. He has a young James Dean charming allure about him the way he dresses and carries himself while performing on stage. He writes about relatable topics such as mental health struggles, and his live shows are fun, loud, and engaging.
To see all the acts mentioned above and more make sure to grab your last minute tickets here and head to the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama, for this year’s Hangout Fest 2022.
