M.I.A has recently revealed her latest collaboration for her new single ‘Freedun’ with none other than Zayn Malik, and it’s everything we could have hoped for.
After his collaboration with Snakehips on the single ‘Cruel’, Zayn continues to amaze us by featuring on this M.I.A track.
Following the Diplo-produced ‘Bird Song’ and ‘Go Off’ and a collaboration with DJ Blaqstarr and Skrill, M.I.A is no stranger to an epic duo. Her latest collab with Zayn is proof of exactly that.
On Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, M.I.A explained how she had penned the track a long time ago and felt it was “too mainstream” for her. Despite Zayn not being added to the track until a later stage, the former One Direction member took to Twitter to express how he felt to have featured on the upcoming single.
