If there’s anything harder to deal with than the fact that One Direction is on hiatus, it’s that the band formed a whole six years ago. Seriously, 2010 sounds like such a throwback now, but that truly is when Simon Cowell put together Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson into a group on the X Factor. Safe to say they’ve come a long way since then.

He says, “I just wanted to film a little message just to say thank you because you guys are incredible. Your continued support is remarkable, really, and every single one of you had a hand in changing our lives, and I hope you’re as proud as we are.”
This message, coupled with Liam’s recent tweet that “One Direction will always be [his] home and family” helps keep the hope alive of one day seeing One Direction reunite after their hiatus.
