When an artist releases a new album, this is normally exciting enough. Whenever one of my favourite bands announce a new album I always think ‘ooh album = tour’, then usually have to wait ages before there’s even a hint of a live performance. Little Mix have changed everything. I don’t think I have ever known any artist to reveal their new album and dates for a new tour within a day of each other. After the success of their ‘Get Weird’ tour last year which sold over 500,000 tickets, it seemed like a
After the success of their ‘Get Weird’ tour last year which sold over 500,000 tickets, it seemed like a no-brainer for them to do another tour and perform their new material. Although the tour isn’t until next year, Mixers haven’t got long to wait until the release of their upcoming album ‘Glory Days’ which is out on November 28th.
This will be their fourth tour and fourth studio album since they formed on The X Factor back in 2011. Dates on the tour include London, Manchester, Cardiff, Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield, Nottingham and Birmingham. I have just realised that next year’s Cardiff date falls on Halloween, how cool is that? The girls should totally do a Halloween themed show.
Judging by what I have seen from their previous performances and the artwork of their new album, I am pretty confident that it’s going to be totally fierce. I have never seen the girls on one of their own tours, but was lucky enough to see them a few years ago at Party In The Park in my hometown and was totally blown away by how good they were. I know they have previously toured Cardiff on numerous occasions, so I think I may pop down and check this tour out. I’m well overdue a Little Mix fix!
I anticipate that the tour will be extremely popular and sell out pretty fast, especially if those damn ticket touts have got anything to do with it. Fans can pre-order the album on the band’s official music store. Those who pre-order the album on that site will also get first picks of tickets on the 19th Oct – set yourself a reminder! Failing that, you can get tickets from Ticketmaster or any other reputable ticket site on 21st of Oct at 9am.
