Joe Jonas spills about discovering porn as a teen

Joe Jonas has taken some time out from DNCE to pose with Notion Magazine and reveal a few facts about his life, including life with the Jonas Brothers all the way to discovering porn. This topic is still seen as a bit of a taboo, however, he is one of the first major popstars to candidly and honestly open up about the subject and the potential risk for young individuals throughout their teenage years.

He revealed to Notion magazine:

“I would use my address to log into the websites, and I did this for seven days straight. A month later – and by the way, my dad was a pastor at the time – for a week or two straight there was a postcard with a naked woman on it saying ‘Come join us again Joe’ or ‘We really miss you’ or ‘You naughty boy, come visit us again'”.

In addition, he also spoke about his time with the Jonas Brothers where there was a noticeable comparison to his time in DNCE, mainly due to age. Obviously, when he was in the band years ago, he was a lot younger and unable to drink. He even claimed, “[would be] getting on the tour bus and going to bed or watching a movie”. Now he enjoys going for drinks after the show and believes it is “truly great”.

Leading on from this, he also revealed the troubles of growing up in the spotlight, a pressing issue which is ever present for current individuals who were where he was just ten years ago. He even goes as far as saying he wouldn’t wish it on anybody but appreciates it’s made him who he is. It’s an interesting discussion point to how the music industry can be so damaging to such a young person who is unable to handle the constant pressure and constant fame. Luckily, for Joe, he’s managed to overcome this and pave the way for an incredible career with DNCE who have already shown true potential after last years “Cake By The Ocean”.
