This week, UK boyband JLS have announced they have signed their first record deal since getting back together. JLS split in 2013 after their contract ended but got back together last year, promising a reunion tour (which has been rescheduled to later this year due to the pandemic).
JLS were originally signed to Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco, from 2008-2013. They have now confirmed they are signed to BMG UK and are going to be releasing new music for the first time in over eight years, much to their fans’ excitement.
BMG have said, “We’re excited for the return of JLS. They have enjoyed a stellar career and we are delighted to be part of their next step. The music is already sounding great, they return fully on top of their game.”
JLS added to the statement by saying, “For us, music is the core of everything we do and we are so excited to bring new music to the world again.” All four of the boys also posted on social media about how excited they were about the signing.
JLS are also set to embark on a 28-date arena tour across the UK and Ireland at the end of the year. So there is no doubt that this is going to be a highly exciting year for them and their fans!
