Must-see artists at Moon River Music Festival 2023

Moon River Music Festival will be held on the edge of the Tennessee River and will be a whole family event! Highlighting bands from the South as well as others like Hozier, Richy Mitch & the Coal Miners, and more, it promises a weekend full of music in Chattanooga that will be a fun getaway for you, your friends, and your family!

Here are three acts that I’m most excited about this year.

Flipturn

Flipturn is an alt-indie band from Jacksonville, FL, that has been on the rise that past few months. Their style is a little different from the rest of the festival, which makes them even more interesting! Maybe you’ve heard about them through Mt. Joy or Rainbow Kitten Surprise. Either way, you’re in for a real treat if you stop by their set on Saturday. An energetic set full of dancing and good times will be waiting for you at the Poplar Stage at 2pm.

Larkin Poe

Larkin Poe is made up of sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell. Originally from Atlanta, GA, and now residing in Nashville, TN, their southern-ness comes out through their blues rock. If you want to enjoy a guitar-filled set, stop by the Poplar Stage on Sunday at 3:30pm!

First Aid Kit

First Aid Kit is another band of sisters, and they’re from Sweden! A folk duo who will bring a set of music that’s a little more chill but still enthralling; a change of pace that hits the main vibe of the festival very well. See them on Sunday at the Iris Stage at 6:15pm!
